CJ LoConte is the founder of Truxtun, a U.S. Army veteran and West Point graduate where he played lacrosse and was commissioned as an Infantry Officer in the 4th Infantry Division. He is currently pursuing a dual MBA and MPA from the Wharton School and the Harvard Kennedy School, where he is a Black Family Fellow. Harvard Kennedy School.

On active duty, he served as an infantry officer from 2017 to 2022, deploying to the Middle East as a rifle platoon leader out of Fort Carson, Colorado. He led soldiers through combat and through its aftermath, carrying the weight of losses that would later shape his mission. That experience, the guilt and grief leaders shoulder and rarely set down, became the ground Truxtun was built on.

He founded Truxtun during his first year of business school, aiming to transform the often chaotic military-to-civilian transition into a rite of passage that builds clarity, community, and long-term leadership. Through cohort-based retreat programs and structured integration, Truxtun guides high performers toward lasting change. CJ has also served as a public advocate for expanded access to psychedelic care, working with state campaigns and co-founding a healing-focused coalition.

A Duxbury, Massachusetts native, CJ came to this work through his own recovery, and builds Truxtun around the belonging he first found in a locker room that carried the same name.
