CJ LoConte is the Founder & CEO of Truxtun, a human performance and consciousness research company. He is a U.S. Army veteran, West Point graduate, and former Division I lacrosse player who later earned an MBA from the Wharton School and an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School.

On active duty, CJ served as an infantry officer from 2017 to 2022 with the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, Colorado. His experience in the Army—and the transition that followed—shaped his thinking about the community and the systems people need when moving between consequential chapters of their lives.

During graduate school, CJ founded Truxtun after seeing how few systems were designed to help people navigate major transitions in a deliberate, sustained way. He began building a model that combined personal development, leadership, and community rather than treating them as separate problems. He and Stephanie also founded the Truxtun Foundation to help veterans transition into graduate education and build lasting community after military service.

Today, CJ leads Truxtun’s work to develop and study new approaches to human performance, leadership, and lasting behavior change.

Truxtun takes its name from CJ’s Army lacrosse locker room at West Point—a community defined by trust, shared challenge, and belonging that continues to influence what he is building today.
